The Denver figure sits in the typical NIFC-era range and matches the 2014-D Harding and 2014-D Hoover totals (both 3,780,000) before stepping up to 3,920,000 for 2014-D Franklin D. Roosevelt. Coolidge took office under unique circumstances on August 3, 1923 after President Harding died of a heart attack in San Francisco; Coolidge was visiting his family farmhouse in Plymouth Notch when word arrived, and his father, a Vermont notary public, administered the oath by kerosene-lamp light at 2:47 a.m. The portrait of the 30th president by Don Everhart pairs with Everhart's Statue of Liberty reverse used across the entire program.
