About this coinHistory

The 1913-S Lincoln cent had a mintage of approximately 6.1 million coins. The semi-key status of the early S-mint dates continues: every San Francisco Lincoln cent from 1909 through 1915 has a lower mintage than its Philadelphia counterpart, and each carries a premium proportional to its scarcity. The 1913-S is available in lower circulated grades but becomes genuinely uncommon above Fine.
