The 1921-S Lincoln cent was struck in approximately 15.3 million coins. No Denver cents were produced in 1921. The lower mintage gives the 1921-S a modest premium over common dates, and the absence of a Denver issue for the year makes the 1921-S the only branch-mint cent for collectors assembling a date-and-mintmark set.
