Platinum price today

The American Platinum Eagle, struck since 1997 at .9995 fine, is the only coin the U.S. Mint has struck in platinum alone; the 2000 Library of Congress $10 carried a platinum core inside a gold ring. Spot is quoted per troy ounce, and each size of the Eagle holds a round fraction of one: a tenth, a quarter, a half or a full ounce.
