Every example was struck at Denver from specially-prepared dies on regular cupronickel-clad planchets, with the 2.268-gram, 17.91-millimeter standard unchanged from the Denver circulation strike but the dies treated to produce the uniform satin or matte surface that defines the program. The piece is Not Intended For Circulation and was distributed exclusively in the 2010 Annual Uncirculated Mint Set; the 2011-and-later Mint Sets use a different finish protocol.
