The 2022 issues sit between the first-year framing of 2021 and the sharp mintage step-up that arrives in 2023, an interstitial year that catalogs cleanly without an anchor story of its own beyond the continuation of bank-channel distribution. Composition stayed the standard post-1971 clad recipe of 75% copper, 25% nickel outer layers bonded to a pure copper core, 11.34 g at 30.6 mm with a reeded edge.
