About this coinHistory

The 2005-D Bison Satin Finish Jefferson nickel was included in 2005 Uncirculated Mint Sets. Like the 2005-P Satin Finish, the coin features the distinctive matte-like surface that distinguishes Mint Set coins from standard business strikes. Production was limited to what was needed for Mint Set assembly.

Collectors building comprehensive modern Jefferson nickel collections acquire both 2005 Bison Satin Finish coins (P and D) as separate entries from the standard circulation strikes.
