About this coinHistory

The 1900 Indian Head cent was struck in approximately 66.8 million coins, the highest mintage of the entire series. The new century began with confidence. The economy was growing, the Gold Standard Act had been signed into law, and American industrial output was rivaling Britain and Germany. The cent was produced in record quantity to serve a record economy. The 1900 is the most common Indian Head date and the most affordable entry point into the series.
