About this coinHistory

The 1907 Indian Head cent was produced in approximately 108.1 million coins, the highest annual output in the series' history. The Mint was operating at maximum capacity to serve an economy that was consuming cents faster than ever. The Panic of 1907, which struck in October, briefly disrupted financial markets but did not significantly affect cent production for the year. The 1907 is the most plentiful Indian Head date by total mintage and is among the most affordable.
