About this coinHistory

The Philadelphia Mint struck over 6.41 billion cents in 1995, a year scarred by the Oklahoma City bombing on April 19. Timothy McVeigh detonated a truck bomb outside the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, killing 168 people, including 19 children in the building's day care center. The attack was the deadliest act of domestic terrorism in American history.

The 1995 Philadelphia cent carries no mintmark and is common. It shares its year with one of the most famous varieties in the series: the 1995 Doubled Die Obverse, which is listed separately. The standard 1995 cent is available in all grades at face value.
