About this coinHistory

The 2008-D Satin Finish cent was Denver's final satin-finish coin with the Memorial reverse. Included in the Uncirculated Mint Set, approximately 745,000 were produced. The "D" mintmark identifies it as a Denver product, and its burnished planchet gives it the distinctive satin surface that set apart the 2005-2010 uncirculated sets.

The coin marks the end of the Memorial reverse in the satin-finish format.
