Denver's 2000 Virginia quarter, the program's tenth issue and the closing 2000 design, shares Edgar Z. Steever IV's reverse with the Philadelphia coin: the three Jamestown ships Susan Constant, Godspeed, and Discovery sailing under full sail, with "Jamestown 1607-2007" arching above and "Quadricentennial" curving below. The Old Dominion's selection looked forward to the 400th anniversary of the 1607 settlement, the first permanent English colony in North America and the foundation event the Quadricentennial would commemorate. Roll searchers still pull premium strikes for full-sail gems, and MS67 examples remain accessible for collectors completing a top-grade program run on a working budget.
