Phebe Hemphill's reverse renders Mount Chocorua across the surface of Chocorua Lake in central New Hampshire, with the summit dominating the upper field and the reflected silhouette filling the lower water plane. The design is one of the more compositionally ambitious in the ATB proof run because the engraver had to differentiate solid rock and reflected rock using only relief depth and field-versus-device contrast.

Proof finish on the issue is the standard San Francisco style: mirrored fields struck from polished planchets against dies frosted in chemical baths before each press run. Cameo (CAM) and Deep Cameo (DCAM) are the contrast designations applied by PCGS, the Professional Coin Grading Service, and NGC, the Numismatic Guaranty Company, with DCAM the default outcome on the issue rather than a step-up tier. Grade distribution clusters at PR69-DCAM and PR70-DCAM, with population counts at the top tier running into the thousands across both services. The lake-surface reflection is the diagnostic strike area: properly struck examples preserve clean separation between the textured mountain face and the smoother inverted reflection, while weak strikes blur the two into a single plane. Counterfeit risk is essentially nil at the issue's price point.

The issue trades at the bottom of the modern proof market and routes through year-set or design-set assembly rather than standalone collector pursuit. A raw certified PR69-DCAM example moves for a few dollars over the cost of breaking up a sealed 2013 Proof Set, and PR70-DCAM examples in NGC or PCGS holders carry a modest premium that has compressed as competition for the modern ATB proof registry sets has cooled. White Mountain is one of the most visually polished reverse designs in the run and stands out within 2013 set displays, but pricing on the proof has not separated meaningfully from the other four 2013 issues.
