San Francisco struck 800,000 examples of the 2025 Florida American Innovation Dollar in regular proof format, the third 2025 proof and the twenty-seventh entry in the program's state rotation following Florida's March 3, 1845 admission. The reverse, designed by Ronald Sanders of the Mint's Artistic Infusion Program and sculpted by Medallic Artist Eric David Custer, captures a NASA Space Shuttle lifting off from Launch Complex 39 at the Kennedy Space Center, with solid-rocket-booster smoke filling the lower field and stars scattered through the upper background. FLORIDA is inscribed incuse within the smoke at the 6 o'clock position, the final letter substituted with the Greek capital lambda (Λ). On the proof striking the lambda reads with a sharper edge than on the circulating issues, since the multiple striking blows on a polished die transfer fine detail at the bottom of the field.

The format here is conventional Cameo proof, meaning the strong contrast between mirrored fields and frosted devices that defines U.S. proof striking from the late 1970s onward. The orbiter, external tank, and rising plume show frost; the surrounding sky reads as a deep mirror; the contrast between them carries the design. Inspection on a 2025-S proof concentrates on the orbiter's wing leading edges, the engine bells where the plume originates, and the frosted texture along the smoke strokes at the bottom of the field. PCGS, the Professional Coin Grading Service, and NGC, the Numismatic Guaranty Company, both certify these issues; PR69 Deep Cameo and PR70 Deep Cameo populations on a modern Innovation Dollar proof typically run into the thousands within months of release, so the slabbed market trades on grade and label rather than survival.

The badge stays Regular per site policy on proof entries, with rarity context conveyed in narrative rather than in the Key/Semi badge.
