2,113,359 clad proofs of the District of Columbia quarter were struck in 2009. Don Everhart's Duke Ellington reverse takes on a refined quality in proof format, with the frosted jazz legend at his piano set against mirrored fields. Inscribed "Justice for All." The DC proof was the first in the Territories extension.
